How to calculate the power selection of belt conveyor motor?
Methods as below:
1. First calculate the tension of the transmission belt = total load * rolling friction coefficient
2. Pull force * radius of driving wheel = driving torque
3. According to the transmission speed, calculate the speed of the driving wheel = transmission speed / circumference of the driving wheel
4. Motor power (kW) = torque (Nm) * driving wheel speed (rev/min)/9550
5. Calculate the result*safety factor*efficiency of the reduction mechanism, and select the corresponding motor.
